Perimeter intruder detection systems (PIDS) vary in the size and complexity of requirement. Outdoor sites in need of pids security systems can have perimeters measuring anything from several miles to just a few hundred yards. This is reflected in the diverse range of clients we serve around the world.
An ancient monument such as the Great Pyramids of Giza has perimeter of approx 8 miles and we are privileged to have our fence detection system in place as part of the site’s integrated perimeter security system.
By contrast, a Scottish Single Malt Whisky company with a storage depot housing its precious, wooden whisky barrels has a site perimeter of just a few hundred yards with our microwave detection system (right) offering protection of the barrels from damage and theft.
These are, of course, unusual types of pids security client but we also provide pids security systems for a wide range of more commonplace sites such as salvage yards where our electric security fencing products are popular.
Some clients with a significantly high security risk choose to install our pids security products in combination. An example of that is the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal For Rwanda where our electric security fence, fence detection and perimeter management systems were installed.
